More Tin Man news
According to the Sci Fi Channel, actors Neal McDonough (Flags of Our Fathers), Kathleen Robertson (Hollywoodland) and Raoul Trujillo (Apocalypto) have been added to the cast of SCI FI Channel's upcoming miniseries Tin Man, a 'reimagining', based on author L. Frank Baum's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz series of novels, joining the Broadway musical Wicked as yet another major spin-off based on the author's public domain works.
Slated to start filming this month in Vancouver, the cast join will join Zooey Deschanel, Alan Cumming and Richard Dreyfuss.
Described as a "sometimes psychedelic, often twisted and always outrageous take on the book", Tin Man is the story of Dorothy Gale, aka DG (Deschanel), a young woman plucked from her humdrum life and thrust into the Outer Zone, aka the OZ realm of wonder and black magic.
Tin Man is executive produced by Robert Halmi Sr. and Robert Halmi Jr.
Co-writers Steven Long Mitchell and Craig Van Sickle also serve as executive producers.
